Demystifying the College Admission Process
Hi, I’m Cindy Goodman, a Certified Independent Educational Consultant with over 20 years of experience in independent school admissions. Over the years, I have worked with a wide variety of students, including those with diverse learning profiles, unique interests, and different educational needs.
I work closely with both students and parents to create a personalized and organized college prep plan that reflects the student’s strengths, goals, and values. I guide students and families through every step of the college admissions process—from building a thoughtful college list and crafting standout applications to evaluating admission decisions and making a final choice that feels right.
I take great pride in meeting each student where they are, building strong and meaningful relationships, and guiding them to find colleges that will support their academic, social, and personal growth. My approach helps students stay on track, meet deadlines, and ease the pressure and stress on families.
As a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), I adhere to the highest ethical standards and conduct. I regularly visit college campuses to stay informed about the evolving admissions landscape and campus cultures.
In addition to being a certified Independent Educational Consultant, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Cal State Northridge, a Master's Degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, and my Early Childhood Teaching and Administrative Credential.

To best suit your needs and schedules I provide both in-person counseling and online counseling via video conference.
Pricing
Pricing varies depending on when services begin. Consultations can start anytime between freshman year through the summer before senior year. College Prep Plus offers both package pricing as well as an hourly rate.
